Motorcycle Technician

Key Job Responsibilities:
Diagnostics & Repair: Perform complex engine, transmission, and electrical repairs, as well as routine maintenance (brakes, oil, tires).
Technical Expertise: Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify issues and follow manufacturer guidelines.
Documentation: Accurately document repairs, parts, and service records, sometimes using app-based workflows.
Customer Communication: Explain technical issues to customers and provide repair estimates.
Quality Control: Test ride motorcycles to ensure safety and performance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a motorcycle technical program is preferred. Must have motorcycle endorsement.
Experience: Previous experience in a dealership or high-volume repair shop (often 5+ years for senior roles)
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and proficiency with hand/pneumatic tools.
Technology: Familiarity with digital platforms and apps for managing service orders.
Work Environment:
Full-time positions, with increased workload during spring/summer, and potential for overhaul projects in winter.
Well-ventilated, often loud, workshop environments.
